December 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuation of the study on King Penguin phenology at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinguinorey.cl\/en\/\">Reserva Natural Pinguino Rey<\/a> in the Strait of Magellan, Chile, in collaboration with Dr. Robin Cristofari (University of Helsinki).<\/li>\n<li>Continuation of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bas.ac.uk\/project\/snow-hill-emperor-penguin-expedition\/\">study<\/a> investigating the pre-moult foraging areas of Emperor Penguins from Snow Hill Island (Weddell Sea) using satellite transmitters, in collaboration with the British Antarctic Survey.<\/li>\n<li>Survey of Rum, Bandy, Whiskey, and Sea Lion Easterly islands (the &#8222;Schnapps Islands&#8220;) in the south of the Falkland Islands, in preparation for their designation as a Falklands National Nature Reserve (NNR).<\/li>\n<li>Census of the Falkland Islands&#8216; giant petrel population, in collaboration with Falklands Conservation and Island LandCare (Falklands).<\/li>\n<li>Studies on the thermal use of the marine habitat by Magellanic Penguins, and on mercury contamination in Magellanic Penguins and Imperial Shags from Hummock Island, conducted as part of two bachelor&#8217;s theses at the University of Hohenheim, Germany.<\/li>\n<li>Studies on the foraging ecology of Common Diving-petrels and Slender-billed Prions on Hummock Island, in collaboration with Dr. Paulo Catry (MARE \u2013 Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre, Ispa \u2013 Instituto Universit\u00e1rio, Lisbon, Portugal).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>September 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Publication of the new Newsletter 22-2026.<\/li>\n<li>Participation of Dr. Klemens P\u00fctz in the 11<sup>th<\/sup> International Penguin Conference on Phillip Island, Australia.<\/li>\n<li>Participation of Dr. Klemens P\u00fctz in the 4<sup>th <\/sup>World Seabird Conference in Hobart, Tasmania.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>August 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participtation of Dr. Klemens P\u00fctz and Dr. Thomas Mattern (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tawaki-project.org\/\">Tawaki Project<\/a>) in the Zoo Z\u00fcrich Conservation Academy in Lewa, Kenia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>July 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Publication of the new <a href=\"https:\/\/antarctic-research.de\/wordpress2014\/unterstuetzung\/spenden-buecher-kalender\/kalender-2025\/\">Calendar 2027<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>January\/February 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Continuation of fieldwork on Hummock Island, Falkland Islands: Various projects on flora and fauna, studies on the occurrence of petrels and the foraging ecology of cormorants and various raptor species.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>December 2025 &#8211;
