January/February 2026
- Continuation of fieldwork on Hummock Island, Falkland Islands: Various projects on flora and fauna, studies on the occurrence of petrels and the foraging ecology of cormorants and various raptor species.
December 2025 – February 2026
- Continuation of our studies on the ecology of Erect-crested and Southern Rockhopper penguins on the Bounty and Antipodes Islands, New Zealand, in cooperation with Dr. Thomas Mattern (Tawaki Project) and Dr. Pablo Garcia-Borboroglu (Global Penguin Society).
November 2025
- Continuation of a study to investigate the foraging areas of Emperor Penguins from Snow Hill Island, Weddell Sea, during the pre-moult period using satellite transmitters, in cooperation with the British Antarctic Survey.
October 2025
- Field work on Hummock Island with various projects on flora and fauna.
- Start of a study on the phenology of King Penguins from Volunteer Beach, Falkland Islands, in cooperation with Dr. Robin Cristofari, University of Helsinki,
- Continuation of the study in cooperation with Dr. Robin Cristofari, University of Helsinki, on the phenology of King Penguins in the Reserva Natural Pinguino Rey in the Strait of Magellan, Chile.

- Publication of the new newsletter # 21/2025.

- Publication of the new photo Calendar 2026.

- Deployment of satellite transmitters on Humboldt Penguins in Chile to study their foraging areas at the end of the breeding season and before moulting.
April 2025
- Continuation of the restoration on Hummock Island, Falkland Islands, by further tussac and native plant plantations.
November 2024 to January 2025
- Field work on Hummock Island, Falkland Islands: Various projects on flora and fauna, including deployment of camera loggers on Magellanic Penguins to investigate their feeding behavior, a study on the abundance of Sooty Shearwater in cooperation with Dr. Antje Steinfurth (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, UK) and a cooperative study with Dr. Andrea Raya Rey (CONICET, Ushuaia, Argentina) on the foraging ecology of Cormorants and various raptors.
November 2024
- Study on the phenology of King Penguins in the Reserva Natural Pinguino Rey in the Magellan Strait, Chile, in cooperaton with Dr. Robin Cristofari, University of Helsinki.
October/November 2024
